Briany Anders

Briany Anders, second-year courier pilot and captain of the Silverplume, set out to fill a co-captain seat for a three-month Crusader–Hurston run. She interviewed Gigi Thompson at Seraphim Station, read her academy record, and asked about work outside it. Gigi named one private Intrepid job that ended in damage she paid for. Briany then put Gigi at the controls of the Silverplume for a short hop to the tight Pad 02. She kept her hand near the override without touching it. She warned Gigi about the approach and corrected her on the vertical speed. The landing recorded zero damage. Briany said that was what she needed to see. A later scene's premise says she found a discrepancy in Gigi's account, but she had not yet said what it was.
